Read a Book or Read a Blog
I've always been a big reader and lover of books. Wanna know why? Because in a book, the author readily lets you know what he or she's been thinking. Reading a book is like reading someone's mind. Some people will open up on paper when they won't open up in conversation. It's easier for them to communicate their thoughts. Perhaps its because they've had more time for reflection and editing what they say. (Wouldn't it be good if we edited some of our verbal conversations?)
I always encourage others to be readers. In this blog I hope to sometimes talk about what I've been reading in the hopes that it might stimulate others to read also. But I also hope to let you read my mind. You might identify with something I'm thinking in a way that might give you greater insight. I hope that happens. That's one of the great things I get out of reading the thoughts of others - be it in a book or on a blog.
I've always wanted to write a book. But since that may never take place - I've taken up writing in this blog. I'll let you know what I've been thinking from time to time.
Even if no one reads I'll still be able to give my thoughts greater clarity by writing them down and storing them away in this cyber journal.
